Inanna — The Fragrance of Descent and Return

Long before Aphrodite, before the Greek pantheon existed at all, there was Inanna.

Sumerian queen of heaven and earth, she ruled over love and war in the same breath — refusing the divide most cultures later insisted on drawing between the two. She is one of the oldest recorded deities in human history, worshipped thousands of years before her name was echoed and reshaped by every goddess who came after her.

Her most famous myth is her descent into the underworld — stripped of her crown, her jewels, her robes, one gate at a time, until she stood before her sister Ereshkigal with nothing left to remove. She died there. And then, through ritual and will, she returned — reclaiming everything that had been taken, transformed by having lost it.

This perfume oil holds that same duality: love and war, loss and reclamation, descent and return.
